Blackman Dominates Tri Meet, Rolls Past Station Camp in Home Opener

Murfreesboro, Tenn. | December 2, 2025

Blackman Wrestling opened its home schedule with a dominant performance Tuesday night, hosting Station Camp High School and a small exhibition lineup from Providence Christian Academy (PCA). After a close dual the last time between the Blaze and the Bison, this time the Blaze left no doubt — wrestling tougher, giving up fewer pins, and controlling the action from start to finish. Blackman won 10 of 14 varsity matches with seven pins, securing a decisive 54–21 victory.

Coach H on the Team’s Performance

“Our boys were ready to go tonight and it showed. They all continue to work hard and gain confidence together. They have a tight bond and are starting to hold themselves accountable to the standard we are setting. Some big wins and great matches tonight. Back to work for a couple days before we hit our first big test in Memphis this weekend. Shout out to Station Camp for always bringing great wrestlers and families who go about this thing the right way. I’m a big fan of theirs.”

Big Moments of the Night

Doug Barksdale scores a Pin over Station Camp

Barksdale’s Statement Win

At 138 lbs, Douglas Barksdale delivered one of the night’s standout moments, pinning Brodie Jaeckel from Station Camp in 1:59. The win was a tone-setter, flipping the script from last year and energizing the Blackman crowd. Coach Dane labeled it the match of the night.

Kyngston Russell Closes It Out

Heavyweight Kyngston Russell had another huge win! After being down for most of the match, Russell sealed the dual in dramatic fashion with a late pin in 3:22, putting the final stamp on an already dominant team performance.

Jerison Daniel Returns Strong

At 190 lbs, Jerison Daniel made a strong return following the Blaze football postseason, securing a lightning-quick pin in 0:42. Daniel looked strong in his debut and his return bolsters Blackman’s lineup in an important way.
