Blackman Wrestling will have twelve home duals – eight against Region 5 foes – during the 2019-2020 wrestling season, according to the schedule released last week.
The Blaze will start their schedule with a pre-season individual tournament at Tullahoma on November 16 and finish it in Franklin, TN at the TSSAA State Tournament on February 20-22.
The Blaze, who finished fifth in the state tournament last season, will undoubtedly be tested this season as the schedule reveals several quality events that will allow the Blaze to see the best competition before the state tournament.
“It’s a tough schedule that will really test us, “ said ninth year head coach Ronnie Bray. “This season, our guys are going to get all they want and it will only make us better.”
In addition to twenty-five scheduled dual meets, Blackman will send the varsity squad to several high-quality tournaments – Blackhorse Invitational (Dec 6-7), Cleveland Duals (Dec 14), Bradley Invitational (Dec 20-21), Johnny Drennan at Father Ryan (Jan 3-4), GP West (Jan 10-11), and the Halls Invitational (Jan 18).
Looking forward to a great season. Check out the full schedule HERE.
