Blackman went on the road to Coffee County and ended up winning both duals in a tri-meet with Region 5 opponents Coffee County and Lawrence County. The wins move the Blaze to a 13-1 dual record this season.
In the first match against Lawrence County, Blackman won 11 matches and earned pins from Austin Marlatt (132), Jalen Brown (152), Brooks Sacharczyk (160), Landon Fowler (170), Bowdy Boyce (220), Jamil Hughes (285), Alex Rose (106), Peyton Adams, (113), and Jeremiah Savage (120). In the 138 pound match, Junior Daniel Bradford was disqualified for an illegal throw to Lawrence County’s Andrew Oliphant. Oliphant took a hard hit and he didnt continue the match. Thankfully it didnt look like he was seriously injured.

In the final match against Coffee County, Coach Bray was able to get some of our JV guys in the match. Anytime that happens, its a good thing!! Blaze JV wrestlers who won were Brenden Barber, Michael Brown, and Shawn Wolford.
