Blackman Wrestling displays a Show of Force at Wilson Central!

Blackman Wrestling made an impressive outing at the summer duals which was held on June 11th at Wilson Central High School. The Blaze brought a very impressive THIRTY wrestlers all wanting to test their skills and see just how far they have come since summer workouts began.

Blackman faced off against a small but impressive Ravenwood team and then went on to give everyone a prequel of the 2013 District 5 Championship against Wilson Central. The atmosphere was briefly reminiscent of the last time our teams met. (Blackman 37 – WC 36)

Many of the returning starters came out cocked and loaded and looking true to form. Most encouraging was some VERY impressive outings from a few guys who are obviously looking to break into the starting lineup. You know who you are! And WOW! We have some very strong Freshmen who are coming up. Those young men showed that they are ready for what D1 has in store for them!

All in all, Blackman is looking solid going into next season! Keep coming to summer workouts. Keep taking advantage of every opportunity to get better! You can see pictures from the dual HERE.
