Blackman’s 11th place finish at the Bradley invitational was not exactly what the team or Coach Bray had hoped for. Two of our varsity wrestlers were declared ineligible on Friday and if you can’t start strong at the Bradley tournament, you aren’t going to finish strong! Saturday felt much better and the guys who were left battled hard and gained some great experience! Congrats to the medalists. Tyler Sells was the tournament champion at 160 lbs beating 4 time Alabama state champion Brandon Womack on the way to the finals. Other medalists were Jevon Brown – 3rd, Austin Wells – 4th, Tyler Garrison – 5th.
