Blackman Wrestling capped another successful season with the hosting of the 2015 – 2016 Wrestling Banquet.
The event was held at New Vision Baptist Church and it must be said that their facility was absolutely fantastic!! We had a huge crowd and just enough room for everyone to socialize, enjoy a great meal and celebrate a successful season! Our thanks go out to the folks at New Vision and we certainly hope to be there again next year!
It was so heartwarming (and funny) to see so many people at the banquet who are sad that wrestling season is over! Many people were overheard saying how much they have missed seeing everyone else and how bored they were with nothing to do. We miss you all too!! Wrestling creates bonds and kinship among those who are involved. This is true for the wrestlers as well as the family and friends! It’s like no other sport.
We had many young men to recognize as Blackman ended the season with 40 wrestlers on the roster! Numbers like that speak to the caliber of our program and the quality of coaching! The future is very bright at BHS!!
Although we are proud of everyone, there were several wrestlers who exemplified excellence and achieved maximum potential. These young men were awarded for their efforts and accomplishments:

Congratulations to everyone who was involved in our season! Special recognition to the Blackman coaching staff! These guys work tirelessly and put in so many hours in order to help the boys grow into men. Thank you Ronnie Bray, John Heath, Eric Sacharczyk, and Scotty Garrison!!
