FIRE AT THE BLACKMAN WRESTLING FACILITY
Update: October 2018 –
The old wrestling building is no more. We have plans to construct a new facility and we are moving forward with that. There is still a lot of what ifs and maybes but progress is progress! More to come.
On Sunday, July 9th, the Blackman Wrestling building caught fire and suffered significant damage. We are heartbroken. Thanks to everyone for your words of encouragement and support.
So many people have offered their help to get us back in business. Thank you. The reality is that we are not going to be allowed to clean up the mess ourselves. Due to the caustic fumes and residue, any cleanup efforts will have to be done by professionals. Once we get a building that is habitable, all bets are off!!! The best thing for us to do right now is raise money. We cant envision a scenario in which the county or insurance companies are able to give us back exactly what we had. (Maybe it could happen 🙂 ) We will keep everyone updated as soon as we find out more information.
