Blackman continued its strong start to the 2016 season by defeating Centennial, Tullahoma & Warren County in the quad match which was held last night at Blackman High School.

The opening match was against a strong and well coached Centennial team from Franklin. No time was wasted in firing things up as 145 pound freshman sensation Landon Fowler knocked off one of Centennial’s best guys, Jeff Iler, in a 3-0 decision. It was a back and forth affair and Centennial tied it up at 27 – 27 with three matches to go. Blackman got a much needed pin from Tre’von Thomas and a tech fall from Clayton Apland to put the match out of reach for the Cougars. Additional pins for Blackman were earned by Matthew Sells, Hunter Winters, Andre Bravo, and Dylan Heath. Final score 38 – 30.

Blackman went on to defeat a solid team of Wildcats from Tullahoma 63 – 14 and the rebuilding Warren County Pioneers 72 – 12.

Blackman moves on to 6-0 and will send the varsity squad out to Memphis this week for the Blackhorse Invitational. Go Blaze!  Check out some pics HERE.
