Blackman traveled to Chattanooga again and participated in the oldest traditional in-season tournament in the state of Tennessee, The Central Invitational.   On the strength of EIGHT champions and ELEVEN medalists, Blackman easily won the tournament and claimed the top trophy.

Blackman ended the day with 195 points over next highest Red Bank (119).

Blackman’s Michael Brobeck was named Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament by the referees. CONGRATS MICHAEL!! What an accomplishment!! Josh Feuerbacher was upset in a very close match in the finals and received the best match award for the second year in a row. Freshman Matthew Sells showed why he is on varsity and claimed a well earned Championship over Division AA 4th ranked Hunter Daughtery from Tyner. All in all, we had a lot of guys get some great mat time and experience. The Zaxby’s chicken was great as well!
