Blaze wrestlers kick off the season at Wilson Central

The Blackman Blaze traveled to Wilson Central last night for the first dual of the 2012 -2013 season.   It was no surprise that the auxiliary gym at Wilson Central was crowed with eager and sometimes very vocal fans and more than a few nervous wrestlers!

All in all, it was a pretty solid night.   With three starters out, Blackman won six of the fourteen matches and fell to Wilson Central 46-24.   Winners in that dual were Coggins, Jacob Kimbrough, Oliviery, Garrison, Sells, and Brown.   Blackman also wrestled and won big against Greenbrier and West Creek.   In those matches, Coach Bray opened things up and several of our very talented JV wrestlers were finally let out of the cage!

Coming up for Blackman – Thursday night is the first Blackman HOME match vs Coffee County and LaVergne. Then the varsity guys are off to Memphis for the very tough Blackhorse tournament.
