Fight Night is ON!!

After a short break, Fight Nights at Blackman will resume from 6-7pm on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016.

What is Fight Night you ask?

Fight nights are a great opportunity to get live matches in with kids from all around the mid-state and sometimes beyond.  If you are serious about getting better, you need off-season or pre-season work to help you get prepared for in-season competition.

Basically, wrestling starts at 6pm every Tuesday night with timed 5 minute matches against the opponent of your choice (similar weight).  Normally we get 6 or 8 matches in with a few short breaks in between.  This gives you the opportunity to build endurance and practice all those moves you learned at camp this summer!

At Blackman It’s typical to see at least a couple of state champs in the room and as many as seven or eight different schools represented.

Be there early to get dressed and stretched.  First whistle blows on time at 6pm.  EVERY TUESDAY NIGHT.

Blackman Fight Nights are held at Blackman’s wrestling building behind Blackman Middle School.  Map HERE.

Other area Fight Nights: Mondays @ Wilson Central & Thursdays @ Beech

      Hi Heather,

Due to large turnouts (and subsequent safety reasons), we don’t have room for the middle school wrestlers at this time.

Middle school will have a parent meeting next month so that is close!

      Thanks!
