It’s time!! The region tournament starts TONIGHT at 6pm @ Cookeville HIgh School!
Fourteen wrestlers from Blackman will lay it on the line tonight for a chance to go the TSSAA State Tournament. In order to qualify, you have to make top four in the region. There are 15 schools in Region 5 who hope to send their wrestlers to state so unfortunately, there will be many disappointments as many will see their season come to an end this weekend in Cookeville. Tennessee is divided into 8 regions and each region sends their top 4 to state. This will result in a 32 man bracket at the state tournament. Blackman had three #1 seeds. Fowler(145), Sells(160), and Bravo(195)
There should be two championship rounds tonight. If the wrestler wins both tonight, they will be in the semi-finals tomorrow. If you can, come to Cookeville and support the Blaze!
